Close to the centre of Saumur, the hotel Anne D'Anjou is overlooking the river and has a view of the chateau above. Stunning place in the most amazing location. It faces the Loire with the castle behind. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. so good that we are planning our return and can't wait.

Featuring barbecue facilities and views of city, Le Relais des Fontaines is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Nouans-les-Fontaines, 15 km from Beauval Zoo. Boasting an indoor pool and views of garden, Domaine de La Soudelle is a recently renovated bed and breakfast situated in Chanceaux-sur-Choisille, 12 km from Hotel Goüin Museum. Breakfast was delicious, homemade jellies and fresh-squeeze juice. My daughter really enjoyed the pool.

Offering quiet street views, LA THOMASERIE is an accommodation set in La Chevrolière, 18 km from Castle of the Dukes of Brittany and 18 km from Printing Museum. The house was comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. It was a place you can relax and feel at ease.

One of the most beautiful and unique places I have ever been. Amazing place and a real connection of old and new. I felt like I was a French lord 200 years ago with all the cutting edge technology. It’s 30 minutes to Blois and Chambord and around an hour to Chenonsoux and Ambois

Offering quiet street views, Studio la Grange is an accommodation set in Fontevraud-l'Abbaye, 15 km from Chateau des Réaux and 17 km from Saumur Train Station. Best place I stayed in during this trip. I could live here :-) Beautiful, quiet, spacious and nicely decorated studio. Comfortable bed, huge bathroom with great shower. All the supplies you could ask for (coffee/tea, shampoo etc, good wifi, even Netflix) On top of that I got a delicious breakfast with fruit, yoghurt, different kinds of bread. Very friendly owners live nextdoor. Could park my bike safely in their shed. A few minutes walk to the abbey, which is very much worth taking a few hours to visit.
