Family-run hostel with a very chill vibe. Clean and tidy hostel. Not far from the main street, which makes it perfect. The owner was very friendly and hard-working. Hotel La Casa Rosada has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Lívingston. Among the facilities at this property are room service and a tour desk, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The location is really good because it's within walking distance to town and the boat to/from puerto barrios and also because it's by the water - it's got its own private dock where you can get picked up for boat tours both to playa blanca and río dulce. They serve good vegan options at the restaurant, although slightly pricey, very convenient. The rooms are hut like, very nice. Staff were good with booking tours/transport for us. There's a nice food place right in front of the main door with a lovely couple serving cheap local food.

Nanajuana Río Dulce has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and bar in Río Dulce. Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge, a garden and barbecue facilities.... Breakfast was delicious and prices were comparable to restaurants outside of hotel. Hotel also offered an hour or two (don't remember clearly) of free little foot paddling boats, which was fun to pass the time. The hotel is nice and secure as well with security outside of resort. Loved that they were pet friendly as well, so I got to bring my pup along!

If i have to select 1 place in Central America, this would be the one ! This property is magical. Placed in the jungle by the Rio Dulce is just perfect little paradise. The whole staff is great, perfect, nice , professional. It was a pleasure staying there. I sure will be back. For the digital nomads, if you need to do some loadings, you need to know that it will take you 3 to 5 times more time to work. But then again, you have the perfect environment and it's a great place to slow down.
