Chalet Karaka is situated in Takaka and offers a garden and barbecue facilities. The property features river and garden views. We LOVED everything! You couldn't ask for a more tranquil setting. The chalet is well set up for self catering. Every attention to detail, right down to the condiments in the cupboard. I really didn't want to leave, but I've booked for this year (Xmas hols) already!!

My daughter and I loved the very special location of the farm at the tippy top of the South Island, with its spectacular views en route and once we arrived. The cozy, comfy bunkie and sweet porch were a perfect mini-retreat, and we appreciated the warm hospitality of our hosts, Sea and Karl, along with their local knowledge. We enjoyed meeting many of the beloved farm animals with their hilarious names, and visiting the local swimming hole, the spectacular walks, and the incredible nearby Wharariki Beach (which was so cool even in the partial fog). All of these elements contributed to our wonderful unforgettable time at Mælstrøm End Eco Farmstay and our visit to this serene yet vibrant corner of the Earth (we already miss their magical and friendly white shepherd dog!)

Kitchen was well equipped, bed was very comfy and the house is very warm and relaxing. Really hope I can make it back here sometime.

Absolute gem of a spot, hidden amongst native Bush to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. Very close to town incase you want to nip out for something or have a look around.

Providing quiet street views, Te Hapu Coastal Cottages in Collingwood provides accommodation and a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. Fabulous location. The storm was long and powerful wind and driving rain. I felt comfortable and cosy watching it all from my window. I was very grateful for the bath as it wasn't walking weather despite the numerous walks available so I just relaxed instead. The electric blanket was a nice treat. 😊

Set in Takaka in the Tasman region, Adventure B&B features a patio and garden views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Our hosts, Jen and Steve, outdid themselves. They were convivial, giving us useful advice about what to sight-see and where to eat, as well as providing an information folder easily on par with that of a well-appointed hotel. They also let us use their laundry facilities. Our modern bedroom was large, air conditioned, and had plenty of space for our luggage. We had a separate lounge area, and a spacious, tasteful bathroom (this was the only place we stayed which had a shower with a foot rest). My wife was especially impressed with the generous breakfast spread. All this, and it was the least expensive place we stayed.
