It was an amazing experience. The hosts were very kind and attentive: they provided blankets to keep us warm at night, they brought us breakfast to our room in the morning and dinner to our room. Speaking of the dinner, it was great value for money (35 soles for a huge piece of trout or chicken, fries, rice, tea, and vegetables). It was fresh and delicious. You would be hard pressed to find a better value for money dinner in Peru! They provided an affordable boat transfer (20 soles per person) both ways to the islands, and arranged taxis to and from the city centre. They were incredibly flexible with the time they were going to do this: they offered to provide transport to the city centre at 3am! due to our bus company wanting to leave early. The room was also very comfortable, and it had an amazing view.

Bed was super comfortable with lots of blankets, hot water bottles + a heater (didn't need it) to keep us warm.

Carols take us to a sunset boat trip and provided a traditional dressed to us. We stay warm at night even outside is very cold.

Only one word to explain the experience: incredible (increíble!). Eddy, our host, arranged everything for us: a taxi picked us up in the centre and dropped us at the port, then Eddy took us to the floating island aboard his little boat. Once there, his mother was standing at the little embarcadero to welcome us despite the late hour; at that point we realized that our stay would shortly turn into an amazing adventure. If you look for genuine relationships and real Uros’ cuisine, made with self-made ingredients plus some of them obtained from the mainland via “barter” (exchange of goods), then this is for you. The 2-hour private tour was lovely and informative about the Uros’ culture and it cost just a little extra. We also rented the kayak for a little workout and tour around the islands, which was kindly offered to us. This is your choice if you wish to spend a few days of relax and adventure on the Titicaca lake.

Henry and Meriluz are really nice people, helps with everything you need. the food is super delicious. the room was spacious, really clean and nice with lake view from the windows. we came for 2 nights but stayed for 3 since it is amazing here. real hot shower, very comfortable bad. perfect. and the island is stunning. very recommended!!

The family are beautiful and looked after me very well with delicious food, cultural education and support in arriving and leaving. The room is artistically painted, bed comfortable with a ton of blankets to keep you warm and you get a little hot water bottle in a sock, which is very thoughtful. Bathroom is new and tiled with ceramic toilet and sink, but there's no running water- use buckets which is not a problem. There is electricity. The island is serene with no cars. Staying with this family is a memory I will cherish and never forget. You could not ask for more kind, friendly and generous people. They were so happy to share their everyday life and culture and their big hearts! Highly recommended!
