Katoomba
Everything! Ross was so helpful - pointing out good trails, giving local tips, and even taking some of us to see the sunset. Not to mention all the cool ppl at this hostel and the nice campfire socials! We ended up going on a hike together as well. My favorite hostel experience in AU. I was debating this and YHA for the Blue mountains - I would definitely return to this place. Stayed for a few nights (I think 4?) and regretted not staying longer. The hostel is close to the Katoomba train station and grocery marts.
The view (particularly by the Ember Lounge Fireplace) was really beautiful, and had all the right amenities for a great stay, including a pool, sauna, library, billiards room, kids zone and more. The King Bedroom was spacious. If you are a family with children then it has lots of activities to keep your little ones busy. Close to town so plenty of great restaurants and bars to visit, and near a lot of the Blue Mountains attractions.
Katoomba

The location is great with Aldi's and Woolworths close by as well as many cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. There is a fridge, kettle, microwave and plates and cutlery provided so you can make your own breakfast in the room. There was also a cafe open on site for good basic meals from 9-4.
The location is unbeatable. Right on the Echo point viewing platform for the Blue Mountains. The facilities are 5 star and therefore excellent as expected. The staff are friendly, engaging and attentive, mostly. The breakfast facilities are excellent, the bar and lounge are also excellent in very detail. Our room was clean, well proportioned and there wasn’t any noise.

Really simple check in process. Didn't have to pay a damage deposit, communication from hotel was A+. Notified about the door being unlocked and keys left in room for me to check in anytime once notified by hotel. Shower fantastic, hot and good pressure. Fantastic WIFI. Bed very comfortable. Right next door to the main attraction, Blue Mountains.
Katoomba
We were impressed with the newly renovated room that we got. The hotel, from the outside, doesn't look too promising, but they did a good job with the room renovation. We even got a bathtub, which wasn't something we weren't expecting but something that was great after a long day hiking in the blue mountains. Very friendly staff as well.
We love the blue mountains, we have stayed once before, many many years ago, the bathrooms are new, looks to be new aircon, new carpet. Our room was very comfortable and clean, most of the hotels in the area are not up to this standard at all. The RSL is right next door. Location is great, staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was delightful.
Wentworth Falls
Excellent location - close to all Blue Mountains attractions, with many options to explore by walk or few mins drive. Close to shops.
