This is one of the nicest hostels we've stayed in. Here are some of the reasons why: - the staff are incredible and so helpful. They helped us with altitude sickness advice, getting a shower mat for our shower, getting travel advice and hailing a taxi and overall being friendly, welcoming and always available. - the kitchen is huge, clean, well equipped and really useful for prepping meals. - the private room was huge. the bed was comfortable and there was hot water in the shower. - the location is slightly away from the touristic area - we loved Sopocachi and there are great restaurants around. - they have the CUTEST little dog called Max who we fell in love with.

The garden with hammocks and deck chairs is a must for sunset! Above all the helpful, friendly staff are wonderful. (We received great advice about our trip to Isla del Sol, left our big bags here and travelled lightly, which is a good plan on the Island with all its steps). Many languages spoken and all efforts made. Special shoutout to Carlos and Amaru.

Anami Hotel Boutique offers accommodation in Sopocachi. Rooms include a flat-screen TV. Certain rooms have a seating area where you can relax. Room was incredibly big and comfortable. Very clean, coffee amd tea available the whole day, breakfast very,, very good.. staff very friendly and helpful. They have washing services organised with the laundry on the corner for a reasonable price. Really enjoyable stay in la paz. It is in a leafy (affluent) part of la paz, but 15 minutes walk to san pedro plaza and about 30 minutes walk to san francisco church. We did not mind, that is what we chose, just mentioning it in case it matters to others
