He made us feel like we own the place and went above and beyond. Breakfast had a really nice local touch with local produce and the hot tub was amazing with a little snow. We can only recommend staying here!

Industrie e turismo non vanno a braccetto
Da amante delle bighellonate nei centri storici ho trovato Eisenach meno interessante di altre città della Turingia. Alle 20 di sabato (metà marzo) c' era il coprifuoco e alle 21.30 con una coppia siamo stati fatti sloggiare da una birreria centrale.

se la prima impressione è stata quasi negativa, poi pian piano - come dicono le guide - ci è piaciuta e abbiamo capito che le cose interessanti da vedere sono più di quelle ti aspett (e alla fini riesci a vedere in tempo). Certo non è una città, per così dire, brillante, e ad anche l'influsso delle presenza di Goethe fatica a farsi vedere, ma non di meno, sommando l'una all'altra cosa (Buckenwald, parchi e Belvederi compresi) finisce che i giorni passano gradevolmente, con l'impressione di 'entrarvi progressivamente dentro'. Negativo: la Biblioteca (sempre inibito l'ingresso e per di più con una serie di commesse/personale molto sgradevoli) Mediocre: Bauhaus (ma stanno per costruire un museo a parte), tanto l'Univ. che il piccolo ambiente-museo in piazza del teatro Magnifico il quadro di L. Cranach (a San Pietro e Paolo) Interessante, anzi bella (nella sua inaspettata ristrettezza): la casa di Listz Interessante la casa di Goethe (forse più il museo che l'abitazione vera e propria): come moltissime strutture tedesche di questo tipo, il tutto finisce per avere un sapore didattico-didascalico vagamente stucchevole. Meglio, a mio avviso, la scarna casetta di Listz. Medio: il centro città, pesantemente rovinato dal calcestruzzo. Bello il parco e pure assai elegante il Castello del Belvedere (benché non arredato) Agitante il pur ben organizzato, ben tenuto ed accogliente campo-museo di Buckenwald Bellissima la circostante campagna/foresta turingia Teatro: chiuso ! N.B.:vale la pena un giorno girarsi la città in bicicletta

la citta e spendida nelle sue piccole dimensioni, mezzi pubblici nuovi e puntuali negli orari,il centro storico e la cattedrale sono fantastici. Molti ristoranti con cucina tipica della turingia ma attenzione o si va a cena presto o non si trova posto......

Erfurt , offre diverse opportunita per una vacanza , un centro storico medioevale, perfettamente conservato, il duomo opera grandiosa in stile gotico.. ancora il ponte del 1400 Kraemerbruecke , la foresta turingia, lo zoo , diversi musei interessanti... e tanti ristoranti italiani di alto livello....

Struttura assolutamente caratteristica nel cuore verde della Germania, la Turingia. Buona colazione, buona pulizia. Mi è piaciuto tutto e raccomando a tutti la visita di Meiningen. Eccellente il ristorante italiano al pianterreno dell'Hotel: davvero una notevole esperienza.

Berghotel is located at the top of a small mountain in a heavily forested area. It is a 15 minute walk up a hill from the main tiny Friedrichroda Train Station up a winding road that passes the town cemetery. Or at the prior stop northwest of the hotel at the bottom of a ravine is the Reinhardsbrunn-Friedrichroda tiny Train Station (more like a train stop but the S-Bahn #4 and several city buses also leave from near there), and it's a 15 minute walk starting up a dirt road to get to the Berghotel. There is also a bus that runs up to the Berghotel, but it comes only a few times a day. The staff in the hotel were excellent and there was always one at the reception desk or the visitors aid desk who spoke excellent English. The room was clean and spacious enough, and my window faced northwest overlooking the forest from which small deer would sometimes emerge to chew on the grass or other herbaceous vegetation when it was dark. This is a very large hotel with the capacity for hundreds, and from the outside looks like something very blockish from the East German era. The dining area is huge, and the morning breakfasts are well supplied. The S4 tram (every 30 minutes) at the Reinhardsbrunn-Friedrichroda stop takes you to Gotha Train Station in about 40 minutes at first wandering through the forest and then through farmland and past little villages. If flying into Frankfurt, this would be a better choice to get to Friedrichroda with just the change onto the S4 (separate ticket, Euro 3.90) than the Deutsche Bahn choice of two changes (in Eisenach and then Frottstadt). With my 6 night stay at the hotel, they also gave me a "Thuringer Wald Card" that entitles the traveller to get on just about any bus/train/tram that is in Friedrichroda, including the S4 which as mentioned goes to Gotha (which itself is well worth a visit).

we stayed for 5 nights in a business class double room. Room was clean and functional. Good breakfast, very good evening meal. Used the sauna, also a infrared cabin and steam room available. Used the small fitness room in the hotel, and the larger fitness room in the sister hotel. Approximately 3 kms away. Overall a good hotel i would recommend.

The room was spacious and clean. The hotel offers a good breakfast with a variety of food to choose from. The pool and sauna area is included in the booking, and provides for a very relaxing break. There is an EV charger available at the hotel parking.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The interior is decorated in a tasteful and cozy, yet luxurious way. Upon arrival we went straight to dinner and it was lovely. The appetizer was especially tasty. The room was nice and clean. I really liked the bedsheets. They were softer than usual hotel-style linens and the yellow color really gave a warm and comfortable feeling. The RGB lighting in the bathroom also gives an additional luxurious feel. Breakfast was good with a decent selection. Freshly squeezed orange juice is much appreciated. The tea selection was also nice. The spa was impressive, we loved the saunas, not much more to add.

At the old market square in Erfurt, just some stops by tram from the railway station. Very beautifully decorated flat with everything you need, cosy and clean! No elevator, so don’t bring too much to carry up the stair to the 2nd floor. Excellent restaurants right outside the flat.
