NH Gran Hotel Casino de Extremadura is next to the Guadiana River, 10 minutes’ walk from Badajoz city centre and Alcazaba Fortress. It offers free WiFi and houses the Gran Casino de Extremadura. The facilities are excellent, the room was quiet (with a nice view of the Guadiana river) and the location was also very good (close to the bridge that leads to the old town). But the highlight was the amicability and professionalism of its staff, particularly DAVID at the reception who went out of his way to give us a nicer room and much earlier than the standard check-in time. This is the attitude that differentiates certain hotel staff from others, and DAVID's attitude in pleasing the customer is rated at the top of his profession. I congratulate NH Extremadura for the quality of its staff, as represented by DAVID.

It is a to-order type of buffet. They kept giving me food. 2) The room was really nice, the bed was fantastic. It is just a bit weird that the shower is part of the room and not with the toilet. It is ok since I am alone but very weird if I am with another person. 3) The hotel is very pretty, it is a posh old house in the city center.

situato in un bellissimo palazzo storico a poche decine di metri dalla Plaza Mayor, ma in posizione molto tranquilla. Ubicazione comoda per visitare l' Estremadura. Siete circondati dalle cicogne sui campanili delle chiese! Solo una informazione , il parcheggio dell' hotel (10 Euro al giorno) e' un po' scomodo, consiglio di parcheggiare appena fuori dalla piazza, si trova posto facilmente. La persona della reception ci aveva, molto correttamente, avvisato di questo.

It was on the edge of town, but only a short walk to the centre. Parking very easy in the carpark. Nice rural views from windows, quiet. Comfortable bed and room. An old-style hotel, like a throwback to the 1980s. Staff helpful and informative.

The grounds and location were very convenient for us, as we took a horseback ride just over the border at Caballos Marvao. Apartment was well cleaned and had beautiful pastries waiting for us, which were a welcomed surprise.

Everything! Absolutely stunning site, immaculate and warm bungalows which were modern and fully equipped. A quiet, peacefull site. We even extended our stay, which the staff made very easy and welcoming. The staff, especially Blanca and Maria, were so helpful with advising areas to visit and knowledge of surrounding areas. Even though we visited in the quietest part of the year, there was still so many activities to keep the kids entertained. WiFi was great and TV perfect. Food from the restaurant could be delivered straight to our door and was fresh and tasty. We will be back!

The house was outstanding! Brand new, full of facilities, great deco, comfortable, great views, food available... The location is outstanding and the views to the town great although you are super close to the center by car Great communication with the staff, flexible, open to help. They facilitate and enrich our stay Actually, I made another booking for summer to enjoy there again :)
