Featuring a terrace, Villa Pona is located in Digoin in the Burgundy region, 34 km from Le Pal Park. The staff were uniformly professional and helpful. The head waiter for dinner was terrific and the dinner was truly exceptional! The location for us as cyclists was ideal being so close to the Eurovelo 6 route. The adjacent bar direct by the Loire was excellent and reasonably priced.

Clean, tidy, charming. In a lovely quiet traditional small village. Host was excellent. Food (menu de jour) was great. And wine recommendations (local champagne and a red) were perfect. Sadly we had to leave early so didn’t get to sample breakfast.

It is in a lovely village with basically no amenities so you do need a car, but this is a given with this kind of accommodation. Alternatively, you can rent e bikes through the property and this seems like a good option as well. But, the house and rooms are absolutely charming and the host Felix is a great guy. Get the picnic dinner (and a bottle of wine) and enjoy it al fresco, it is so worth it.

Breakfast was lovely. The area is beautiful although slightly remote if you don't have your own transport. The owner was very helpful securing restaurants for us and nothing was a problem to her. Always very obliging.
