The inn is off the beaten track and was chosen by us as a base for walking the downs of South Wiltshire; with excellent walks from the doorstep and dozens more a short drive from our base. The staff were particularly friendly; the cooked breakfast, using local produce, a well prepared treat. Although very much a “pub with rooms” rather than a hotel, this was little hardship as the dining/bar area was a charming place to relax (serving Butcombe’s great range of ales) and was by no means noisy when it came to bed.

Good quality breakfast included in the room rate. Hotel has free parking with easy access to and from the M4 motorway and easy access to Wiltshire and the surrounding areas. Staff were polite. Room was clean. Green Kings first purpose built built hotel type accommodation has a similar feel to a Premier Inn. Breakfast is served next door in the Churchill Grill where you also have the option for an evening pub type meal, with other eating options available locally.

Spacious, beautifully appointed room. Very comfortable bed. Large bathroom with a soaking tub. The hotel’s historic elements have been thoughtfully preserved but it also had stylish modern touches. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Ideally located to explore this part of Wiltshire, with a pretty garden and roaming peacocks (apparently a thing in the town). Would love to return in fall or winter as the room invites staying in.

This beautiful little cottage in a quiet valley in Wiltshire was amazing, you’re not a customer in a hotel you’re a welcome and valued guest. Debs greeted us with abounding friendliness and conversation. Ate at the fox and hounds which was really good chow. Returned back to find fire lit and sat watching a spot telly in a very comfortable front room. Absolutely recommend. Thanks Deb and James.

Lovely location with beautiful views over the Wiltshire fields. The hotel was quiet and relaxing with pretty gardens that you could walk around. The bedroom was large, comfortable double bed and the ensuite bathroom was nice and the shower was hot. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good although not much of a selection of fruit. The lounge area was comfortable and relaxing.

Lovely little studio apartment in a rural setting. Lots of thought had gone into the modern decor and the small kitchen was really helpful. Hosts was very friendly and accommodating. Great communication. Quiet and peaceful, nice local walks on the door step and easy drive into Bristol/Bath and Wiltshire. Enjoyed the TV, good shower, fold down table was a clever addition.

An incredible spa hotel in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside. Stayed here recent for an over night stay with my other half, and was blown away! Such a beautiful hotel with great decor throughout, with lovely modern comfort rooms. Nice clean, modern spa facilities. The food at the restaurant was exceptional. I will definitely be coming back again in the future!

An excellent little holiday apartment just on the edge of one of Wiltshire's prettiest villages. Spotlessly clean and warm on our arrival on a dank Christmas eve afternoon, the property appears pretty much new, with comfortable beds, a decent little kitchen/diner and a good shower room.

This is a tremendous hotel, whether you have children or not. We had a delightful room and the staff in both hotel and spa could not have been more helpful. The hotel is in a perfect position for Bradford upon Avon and exploring the Wiltshire countryside. We will definitely be visiting again

Position of the hotel and it being a walkable distance from the town and the Wiltshire Music Centre. The breakfast was ok and we enjoyed sitting in the sunny dining room with amazing views of the countryside. The room was cosy and comfortable.

Beautiful Manor House hotel and grounds. Well-appointed clean room. Friendly welcoming staff. Lovely atmospheric restaurant with great cuisine. Good location for historic Wiltshire (we visited Stonehenge).

Great location ; Very friendly staff ; Lovely rooms and Surrounding gardens , along with Wonderful scenery and walking trails . We always love Wiltshire and normally stay at Bowood, so this was a step up .

This self contained apartment has everything we needed and the location was great for touring around Bath and Wiltshire. Tim is a very helpful host with great local knowledge.

Good location, nice hotel with grounds to explore and lovely location, short distance to Corsham town and ideal to visit many places in Wiltshire.

For an old building, the interior is surprisingly up to date, having recently been refurbished. The owners and their staff are, to a person, very customer friendly. There appears to be a minimalist approach on certain aspects, but that seems to support a lack of waste, and is to be applauded.
