It is new and very clean, probably one of the poshest hotels in Kutaisi. The location is great, being in the city center, a few meters from the Colchis fountain. Staff are all polite and lovely. It has an elevator which is a plus for people with mobility issues. Wifi is very strong. Hot shower is available with very good water pressure. Bed was comfortable and though we were facing the main street, there was minimal noise except during rush hour.

It is located on a hill 5 m away from the city centre. The staff are so friendly, supportive and helpful. In the reception I met Ilia and Zaza who were more than we expected. 🙂 they helped us from the scratch till the last minute even in guiding us to the places worth visiting and arranging for Taxis to help us go the airport. The hotel is very clean rooms are well furnished. 👌 The area is so peaceful and quite suitable for those who are seeking for tranquility. The breakfast is simple but delicious 😋. I tried other hotels in Kutaisi and I can say that Green Town was the best and if I am thinking about Kutaisi I will definitely go to Green Town again. Thanks, Green Town team for your good hospitality. 👍

Compared to Tbilisi the people here are less used to...
Compared to Tbilisi the people here are less used to tourists. And (generalizing) they are more 'show off' people. Me and my gf are an unusual couple (tall dutch guy and little georgian girl) but we were often rude stared at. Much more than in Tbilisi. Since they thought my gf is also foreigner they gossiped about us while standing next to them. Being called stupid tourists while doing nothing wrong is weird. I felt less welcome and comfortable than in Tbilisi. Kutaisi itself has a few nice things to offer, but 1-2 days is enough for city itself. It is however excellent located for several excursions in the beautiful imereti region.

Kutaisi is a great city as a starting point to discover...
Kutaisi is a great city as a starting point to discover Georgia. Kutaisi is a lovely town itself, completely different than Tbilisi or Batumi. There's a nice old town and the street markets are very authentic and not the same as the usual basars. Around the town you can find a couple of national parks and other cities which are great for day trips, like Chiatura, the Okatse Canyon and Prometheus caves. In the beginning we had some problems to find an open restaurant, since the information at Tripadvisor are not up-to-date. But after a while we found some good places just by walking around. Also people from Imereti are pretty hospitable and friendly!

We loved the unique experience of staying a few days in an old majestic Sovjet sanatorium. The building looks really great and we loved the tour around the building that we got. First of all, everything is very clean. Staff members doing amazing work. They are very friendly. Breakfast is amazing, and in general in the restaurant they have very tasty food. Pool is clean. Pool facilities is also clean and basically they have everything at the pool what you need. Also in the rooms is every facilities what you need to have comfortable vacation. It is great place to stay. Basically you can have amazing vacation here. Definitely will come back here.

Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was always nice and plenty, and the host asked what time we would like it. She doesn't speak english, but we could still communicate easily and she was very nice. The apartment is located in a quiet street, 20 minute walk from the center. There is a communal kitchen, fully equipped. We needed a ride to the airport during the night and they organized the transfer for us. I recommend it! :)

I impressed with the flexibility of breakfast time. Since we had to leave early in the morning, we requested half an hour earlier from normal breakfast time. The staff was nice and agreed to do it for us. In the kitchen we met 3 aunties who prepared breakfast for us. They are kind and nice. Breakfast was so good and plenty. There was bread, pastry, kachapuri, butter, cheese, honey, omelet pie, boiled egg, juice, coffee (not instant one), yogurt, fruit, vegetable. Thank you so much for memorable breakfast. : ) The room was good too.
