Hotel El Picnic is truly a gem at Lake Atitlán! From start to finish, our experience here was nothing short of exceptional. The accommodation is situated on a hillside, offering breathtaking views of the lake—a sight you’ll never forget. The open tent experience, where you can sleep under the stars with an incredible view of the water, was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. The food here is fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and made with love. A special mention goes to the homemade bread, which is a true delight. There’s also an on-site beer garden and bakery, adding to the charm of the property. The owners Gaby & Jochen are wonderfully friendly and always available to help, making us feel at home throughout our stay. The property is nestled in the heart of nature, offering peace, tranquility, and a unique connection to the environment. Another rare and much-appreciated feature in Guatemala is the availability of hot water—a small luxury that makes a big difference. Lastly, everything is impeccably clean and well-maintained, showing the care and effort the owners put into every detail. If you're looking for a magical stay at Lake Atitlán with excellent service, delicious food, and an unforgettable experience in nature, Hotel El Picnic is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Alla rum på hotellet har balkong.... The view is unbeatable and the facilities are beautiful and feel truly luxurious. The bathrooms are large and you've never had such a view while taking a shower. There's so many little details added to make the stay so very special. It was a unique and unforgettable experience. The staff is very friendly and willing to help with anything you need. We stayed on the higher level rooms located 150 steps up, near to the infinity pool and jacuzzi. It was always worth climbing up with those incredible views of the lake. I stayed in various places around the lake and this view was just unmatchable.

Offering a year-round outdoor pool and located at the edge of Lake Atitlán, Hotel Toliman is set in San Lucas Tolimán in the Solola Region, 45 km from Antigua Guatemala. The grounds of this hotel are spectacular! It is right by the dock, so it is easy to walk to the property. The restaurant is very reasonably priced, considering that there are not a lot of options for dining (we were on foot). The food is exceptional, and plenty of it comes from their organic garden, of which we had a lovely tour. The hotel website offers full details of how community minded and eco-friendly this business is. The pool looks odd because it is dark. However, I imagine it helps heat the water, along with the solar panels. If you are looking for a couple of days in paradise, this is the place. And the view from the restaurant 🤩

Reserva Natural Atitlan ligger i Panajachel, 48 km från Volcán Atitlán, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en egen strand och en terrass. After staying in 3 towns, this was my favourite stay in Lake Atitlan. Set away from the hustle and bustle, the lodge is set in the middle of reserve (meaning you don’t pay access like external visitors). The room itself was huge! It was beautifully decorated, clean, and super comfortable. My favourite part was sitting on the extensive balcony, overlooking the reserve, and listening to the birds singing whilst having a morning coffee. The staff are friendly, and the restaurant menu had plenty of options at a reasonable price. Easy 10min to walk into town - although you do need to walk along a main road for part of it, or take a tuk tuk. Highly recommend!

Tzampoc Resort ligger i Santa Catarina Palopó och erbjuder en utomhuspool och en bubbelpool med hydromassage. Här finns trädgårdar och terrasser med utsikt över Atitlan-sjön. Just an incredible experience. I could not ask for more, most beautiful surroundings/views, great breakfast and relaxed atmosphere by the pool with refreshing drinks made by the bar staff

Crucero Atitlan är ett 2-stjärnigt boende som ligger i San Pedro La Laguna. Boendet är rökfritt och ligger 24 km från Volcán Atitlán. I boendeenheterna på Crucero Atitlan finns en platt-tv. Big room and comfortable bed. Lake view from the balcony. Beautiful and very clean swimming pool. About 15 minutes walk to town but tuk tuk are easy to find and cheap. (5 Q per person). Breakfast was included. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Great stay.
