One of the beautiful location on the Beach belt of Maharashtra Konkan belt. The main attraction is the temple located on the sea front and the the beach which is clean and clear . the next attraction is the travel from Ratnagiri or the highway of Mumbai Goa towards Ganpatipule which is of nature beauty. As it is a tourist location there are many other attractions like Fort, Museum, Camel rides in the beach and some water sports.

We visited Diveagar for a 2 night 3 day trip.
We visited Diveagar for a 2 night 3 day trip. We drove down from Mumbai and takes about 4 -5 hrs. Considering the location is a bit remote, travelling by own vehicle is suggested. Since the place is not much commercialized, there are not much hotels & restaurants, and home stays are a better option. The Diveagar beach is a vast stretch of beach, with hard black clay soil base. People can play cricket and other beach sports. Lots of water sports activities are available at reasonable prices when compared to other beaches along the coastal belt(Approx. Rs. 150 per person for para-sailing/ Jet ski/ ATV rides etc). Considering the location is a bit remote, the beach does not attract much crowds, as compared to other beaches along the Coastal Maharashtra region. There is also a Ganesh Mandir at Diveagar. Apart from the mandir and the beach, there is nothing much at Diveagar. Hence a drive to Harihareshwar and visit to the beaches on the way is recommended, especially the pradakshina path at the Kalbhairav temple at Harihareshwar. This is towards the South of Diveagar. Other option is a visit to the Murud-Janjira Fort, which is towards the north of Diveagar and is reachable by a ferry from the Dighi Port. The place is good for a 2 nights 3 days trip with Family and friends, preferably in own vehicles.

Amazing weather with rains, fog and mist. Some good and some very good places. Kate's point, Lingamala falls, Connaught peak, Sydney point, Arthur Seat, Chinaman fall, Elephant's head point,Parsi point, in no particular order. Own vehicle is a must with careful driving as the roads aren't good at all and the fact that we Indians lack driving sense and civic sense/responsibility. Venna lake was a pass for us as its too crowded. As is throughout India and specially Maharashtra, people aren't great and love to litter, shout and show disregard to others' personal space. Food is all right, nothing special. Nevertheless a great trip!

Historically we always knew that Maharashtra has a lot to offer. Coming to Daulatabad was an impulse decision and we don’t regret it one bit. The summer is a minus point but there are ways of beating the heat. Every area of the fort has a story to tell and boy our guide was on his toes. But a must visit in your lifetime
