Room was perfectly clear and fresh. It was pleasure to stay there and spend time. View was okay and room was silent and had zero problem on sleeping. Bathroom was big and easy to use and very clean. It had a lot of room to put your luggages and stuff. Location was good. Hotel is right next to the bus station and in Kyoto busses are more often then subways or train, thats a big yes for me. There is Lawson market right next to the otel so you can get your missings 7/24. I would like to stay here again on my next trip aswell.

I stayed at Hotel Suhaana Kyoto for five nights. The hotel is very close to Kiyomizo-Gojo station, but, more importantly, it is close to many of Kyoto's highlights in the Higashiyama area. The accommodation itself was well equipped with a kitchen and ensuite bathroom. The correspondence with staff was also fantastic as they provide you with all the necessary information and were flexible to accommodate an extra day's stay for me with minimal hassle. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Kyoto.

Our stay at the Temple Hotel was so much more than we hoped for. Our hosts were lovely and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The experiences on offer gave us an insight into Buddhism, temple life, traditional food, and culture. Everything was of the highest quality and thoughtfully provided. It was easy to catch the train there, and Ayabe is a delightful place after the busyness of Kyoto. We would definitely recommend staying here, and hopefully, we can visit again one day.

Everything was perfect! The room is spacious compared to other hotels in Japan we stayed at, very clean, and the laundry room is available with detergent provided. The staff are always helpful in answering our questions in English (superb hospitality). Although a bit of a walk from the nearest station, the location is in the centre of the city so it was very easy to walk everywhere, the complimentary croissant was a nice touch too. Definitely will stay here again if we visit Kyoto again.

We loved the ambiance, art, and overall vibe of the property. All of the staff were really accommodating and friendly. The public baths were amazing and much needed after walking all day. There were ample amenities provided like toothbrushes, combs, and face lotion. It was conveniently located in central Kyoto, so we could walk to many shops or take a short train ride/taxi. We appreciated that they had breakfast for purchase as most places in Japan don’t open until at least 10am.

Loved my stay! It was so relaxing and fun to be in a more local area of central Kyoto. I really wanted to experience staying in a machiya but it was hard to find one for a solo traveler. I am so happy that I booked Kenzan An. It was a perfect mix of Japanese style living but with western things like a sofa and really comfortable queen size bed. Ryoko was so helpful with getting me a rental bike and solo restaurant ideas. I will come back again in the fall with my family.

The staff were all very friendly, professional and helpful. Despite my poor Japanese, they had excellent english. I was very happy with the luggage storage system, safe and efficient. I really liked the public bath they had there. Great after a day of walking around Kyoto. Found my room to be nice and quiet even though very close to Kyoto railway station. Very reasonably priced. Superb location. Bed was very comfortable, room immaculately clean.

Loved the location, free wifi, good sized room for Japan for the price. Was extremely handy having a washer and dryer in the room which is why I chose this accomodation. Was nice to have the breakfast available however we didn’t utilise this. The staff were great in allowing us to leave our luggage after check out so we could explore Kyoto for the day and then return to collect our luggage. The Netflix option on the tv was an added perk.

This hotel is a pretty good choice for Kyoto, close to everything. Our room was large and comfortable, with a nice bed and a corner sofa that was perfect to rest in the afternoon after sightseeing. The room has everything you may need (pajamas, water every day, nice coffee and tea...) but it does not have the whole set of amenities which is common in Japan (this is in purpose but it is easy to forget about it).

Best hotel in Kyoto for sure. Most importantly, the room was really big and comfortable. Japanese breakfast in the room was amazing. Hotel staff was very very helpful and kind. Hotel overall is very comfortable and you can enjoy Japanese style accommodation at some extent. Location is also quite nice. A quiet neighborhood, but walking distance to train/metro stations + center locations.

We stayed at 3 hotels during our 10 day trip to Japan. This Hotel was by far our favourite - From the comfort, to the exquisite breakfast buffet, the complimentary ramen every night (which was delicious and hit every time), the spacious rooms, awesome location to some of our favourite spots in Kyoto. 100% will be coming back to stay here on our next trip to Japan! can't beat the location. If you arrive Kyoto late, getting to the hotel by Haruka express train--no need to walk outside in the cold, 5 min walk from train station to the hotel lobby (2nd floor). Very location, enjoy the swimming pool and sauna after long flight and long city walk. Staff and Concierge all very friendly and helpful. Highly Recommend, thank you Hotel Granvia

The location was very convenient to get around Kyoto, with a convenience store right next door and a fair amount of restaurants nearby, it was a great place to walk to everything you needed. There were also some lovely fellow travellers to chat with while there. Pros: + Convenient location for public transit + coin laundry + Japanese-style soaking tub (shower first!)

Cozy and comfortable hotel just 3 min walk from Kyoto Station. Rooms are ok size-wise. Hotel provides for a good breakfast. Service is great and amenities are fine for a small hotel. Convenience shops and restaurants are on a walking distance. I believe this hotel is a good match (including financially) to those who are planning to stay in Kyoto for one to three days.

It was a 10 min walk from Kyoto Station with all the restaurants and trains. Hotel in super quiet residential area. Convenience stores a block away. It was cold and snowy when there and heat/ac system was perfect. Had a balcony with view of nearby temples. Check in/out was handled without anyone. Very easy and efficient. Our room was spotless.

It was clean and very traditional Japanese style property, the owner was so kind and helpful- he carried my bag to the first floor after my tiring arrival at night, he also helped me google search for a massage place and made a reservation for me. The place is not so far from Kyoto station yet a very peaceful area. Overall, my stay was very pleasant.

Location was great for us - right next to the Kamo river, Keihan line and Kyoto station. Free drink bar throughout the day was amazing. 7/11 right across the street was very convenient. Perfect room cleanliness but that’s to be expected at good properties in Japan. All these paired with a VERY good value in January made our stay exceptional.

Cosy hotel, easy to reach by metro (2 stops from Kyoto central train station). Close by to a nice big commercial street. Great for dining at the hotel restaurant, good price and tasty food! Japanese style family room was very comfortable. Hotel offers Sake, coffee, tea, water, complimentary. We felt very welcomed there, loved our stay.

Huge room for Japan! Tons of storage for luggage plus, a couch and fridge for snacks/drinks. Nice and quiet at night but location was pretty convenient. Bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Easy ride to Kyoto Station and attractions. Loved the tub, ice machine and laundry available to us. Staff was lovely and courteous.

The staff are nice, helpful and cheerful and they are well trained to serve every guests. The food provided in the Restaurant and the Bathing Centre is so good and delicious. The room is so comfortable with the amazing view for the Kyoto Tower. It is really enjoyed and will stay in this Hotel if we visit Kyoto again.
