Featuring 3-star accommodation, Beppu Hatto Onyado Nono Beppu is set in Beppu, 20 km from Resonac Dome Oita and 500 metres from Beppu Station. Comfortable but with very tiny rooms. Unusual experience {which we liked} for a big hotel is that you must not wear shoes at any place in the hotel. All floors are carpeted with tatami mats, which are beautiful, but since this hotel caters a lot to tour groups, the front doors become jammed when a bus comes in and people must remove their shoes. Tour groups also bottleneck at the elevators and restaurant. Breakfasts looked great, but we wouldn't go when tours were lined up. Excellent coffee always available. Outdoor onsen was tiny (maybe 3 meters by 3 meters). Indoor onsen was large enough, but not hot enough. Great location with lots of restaurants nearby. Fantastic English-speaking staff. Dormy's HR Dept know their stuff. We'd stay again, despite the small rooms and small onsen. Visit the very old downtown onsen, Takegawara, , a must, and the seafront walk, Good bakery (Mermaid) at the train station. Liveely downtown area.

The owner of the hotel is a very nice and very helpful. I can see the beatiful view of the mountain from the window of the hotel. The private onsen is very impressive. I got lost because my GPS doesn't work and I got there late at night. Fortunately, I brought the phone number and the name of the hotel in Japanese. The owner is so nice to come to pick me up and take me to the hotel safely.

In a prime location in the Yufuin Onsen district of Yufu, 湯布院 おやど花の湯yufuin oyado hananoyu is located 47 km from Resonac Dome Oita, 2.7 km from Kinrinko Lake and 32 km from Beppu Station. Without doubt one of the most wonderful accommodations I’ve stayed in in Japan. The size of this multi-roomed apartment really surprised me. Amazingly spacious AND with my own private Japanese garden and onsen. Really a wonderful place and the owner Ikeda-san was incredibly helpful offering me lifts and pick ups all the time in his car. Great guy!

Lovely place about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. We were there on 2 cold days in March but our room was warm with a heater and electric blankets. Very comfortable beds and an onsen in the room. We had a beautiful view out our window and in nice weather it would be lovely to sit outside but not on this visit. You eat downstairs in a pleasant dining room. The 2 dinners were fabulous and well prepared but we couldn't eat much of the breakfast (it was all Japanese), other guests loved it. But on the second day the cooks made us a delicious breakfast that kept us going all day. The owner is very helpful, he cares a lot about his guests, he's still working on the place and it will be really nice when it's done.

Situated in Yufu, 44 km from Resonac Dome Oita, Bessou Konjakuan features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant. This ryokan was our last night stay in Japan. We included the dinner and the breakfast. The food quality at this place was the best out of all places we tried. That was so worth the price, especially the 10 course dinner. The cleanliness of the entire place was above and beyond our expectations. We loved the yukata and the wooden sandals provided by them. We were able to take photos at the kinrin lake within the yukata. Both the indoor and outdoor onsen were nice. It would have been good to see some details (benefits) about the water but there was none written info. The water was way too hot when we enter one of the outdoor spa. If we weren't taught by the previous ryokan we wouldn't have know to mix in the cold water to the pool. The drop off service to the Yufuin station was nice.

Good onsen baths and good fun in the "walking" onsen and outdoor warm pools. Cabin was spacious and very comfortable. A big thank you for a very relaxing stay.
