We had a very enjoyable stay at the Novotel! The room was nice and clean - and good value for money. The hotel is spacious and has lovely decor for a chain; it incorporates lots of Kenyan elements to make it feel unique. And all of the staff couldn't have been more friendly. For example, Stephen was great when we checked in, sorting our bags for us and showing us round, and Lydia was very attentive at breakfast. The Askaris on the gate were also great when getting ubers at night, stationed outside the gate and ensuring we got in the car ok.

I guess that Nairobi is the only capital with a safari park in the city limits. As a city it could be just another city with all the hustle bustle,but doing a safari at Nairobi National park would be something new & exciting. Nairobi has many classy & affordable hotels. Traveling around the city will be better by a taxi or pre-organized travel agent as city traffic is sometimes crazy. There is a small railway museum close to the old Nairobi railway station and it is worth visiting if you are interested in railways.

We only had a day visit to Nairobi as a stop over and managed to visit the Giraffe Center and the National Park. The Giraffe centre was really enjoyable with really friendly and helpful staff and giraffes! The National Park was great too with the highlights being lions and rhino's.

Nairobi as such is not very interesting to visit. Yes, some residential parts are beautiful but the rest is less than average. The traffic is dreadful so is the safety. Having said that, it is a perfect base if you want to explore Kenya. Just 15 minutes drive to the Rift Valley (if you stay in Karen), 1.5 hours to Naivasha, 2.5 hours to Amboseli or Aberdares, 3 hours to Tsavo. Or - if you have half a day only - there is Nairobi National Park within the city limits. Nightlife is somewhat limited but usually there is a place to go and something to do. Beware of cops - they are worse than gangsters.

The safari at nairobi national park was amazing,it was a very wonderful experience for me,seeing the animals in their natural habitat was so lovely. Also the shedrick baby elephants orphange was very nice too.

I thought Nairobi was a great place, however the traffic was hard to maneuver through. Not many traffic lights and confusing at times. The airport doesn't have allow travelers to enter and sit if they are early for travel. Most resturants I dined in when it came to the meats it was never tender. Uber service was good except for a driver who ran out of has and left the meter running while he went for gas. Also I notice that pictures and amenities listed with Booking.com never matched the properties upon arrival. I was disappointed that the pictures on site would not be the location.

I visited the giraffe park - awesome experience. Then we ate lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant where we were served various exotic meats like crocodile, ostrich, rabbit, ox balls, lamb etc in buffet style. Topped up by a local cocktail drink called Dawa. There was more to see but we had to catch a flight. It’s difficult getting around Nairobi, traffic is really heavy almost everyday of the week except late at night.

I was in Nairobi on business. It's a very cosmopolitan city with an excellent game park right next to the City. Many nice restaurants. Friendly people. There's a lot of traffic so don't plan to get anywhere very quickly!
