This place is UNREAL. The garden is so beautiful and peaceful. I love how it feels very secluded from the rest of the island but is just a short drive to some other great restaurants and the beach. The large tub in the room was wonderful for winding down at the end of the day. Bed was so comfy and the little window that looked out onto the field was so cute.

Featuring a terrace and lounge with fireplace, Hotel Het Gouden Boltje is located just outside the centre of De Koog within walking distance from the forest area, dunes and beach. This property is an absolute gem in Texel! You can tell that there is a lot of hard work and love put into this property as it’s a family business. They were so kind when we checked in and helped escort us to our room. We had electric bikes and they provided a safe place to store them plus outlets to charge them! Breakfast was perfect. We felt very welcomed and special at this property. We had an absolutely lovely time and can’t wait to go back.

Beautifully decorated and comfortable apartment with enough space and all the necessary amenities (to make breakfast as well). It honestly surprised me because it looks and feels better than the photos suggest. The house is incredibly cute and authentic and gives a real Texel vibe. The owner greeted us, showed us around, and for the rest of the stay we had complete privacy. Great location for exploring the island both by car or bicycles. And the neighbor's cat would wait to say 'hi' every morning! :D

We booked a last minute trip to Texel from Amsterdam and Hotel Kogerstaete was one of the few places available - but it turned out to be perfect. We had a big 1 bedroom suite which was great. Spacious and clean with high quality furnishings and finish. We ended up eating breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and they were both delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location is a 2 minute walk from the main pedestrian area in town and a short walk or bike ride to the beach.

We loved the entire property, with the sounds of nature. The breakfast is well catered and super fresh and delicious. The rooms are tastefully decorated and bathroom nice and modern. Everything was super clean. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant two nights and the food was excellent! I would certainly recommend this lovely personal hotel and should I make my way to Texel again, I would not hesitate and book it again!

When you enter you are welcomed by the nice and gentle owners. The design of the hotel is wonderful. All the furniture are hand made by the owner from wood found in the beach.
