The Powderhorn Chateau is situated in Ohakune, at the entrance to Tongariro National Park. Indoor pool was amazing - heated to about 38 degrees Celsius. All the walls & ceilings of hotel were wooden, such a special feel, just like we were in a ski chalet. Hotel had a bar and restaurant on site, which was great.

Located in the Tongariro National Park, The Park Hotel Ruapehu offers affordable accommodation in a stunning alpine setting. Guests are provided with free parking and 500MB of free WiFi. We really loved the family rooms - they were warm despite the cold temperatures. The hot water systems (i.e. the showers) were excellent. Finding the hotel and accessing the car park was also very easy. The restaurant (the spiral) also served very high quality food. The cost of the rooms was outstanding value for money.

Snowman Lodge and Spa is centrally located in the town centre of Ohakune which is the gateway to Ski Ruapehu, Turoa, Whakapapa and the famous Tongariro National Park. Everything loved the atmosphere and the staff very friendly,

Set in Ohakune and only 37 km from Mount Ruapehu, The Gables B&B offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We stayed in Gables B & B for two nights. The rooms are nice and cosy, and everything needed is available. The hosts are really friendly, always reachable and they even treated us with a bottle of wine. Highly recommended!

Fantastic gem! Tremendous view and it is enjoyable to wake up to the sound of the river. Very peaceful and calming. Accommodating to food allergies!

Offering a garden and river view, Riversong is situated in Ohakune, 38 km from Mount Ruapehu and 34 km from Turoa. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Fantastic hosts that were very informative and welcoming. We had drinks in the beautiful backyard with comfy furniture overlooking a babbling brook!

Set in tranquil surroundings with large landscaped grounds and a picturesque garden terrace with mountain views, Tongariro Crossing Lodge offers uniquely spacious rooms with historic character. Nice and cozy place. The host is absolutely excellent! It is equipped with laundry, which is really convenient. It could arrange a shuttle bus from hotel to Whakapapa ski field. Pretty chill place. Definitely wanna come back next time.

Frankie & Hugh's is located in Ohakune. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is situated 18 km from Turoa. Frankie and Hugh's felt like home away from home. Marlene and Wayne were great host and made every effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We found the property clean, spacious and well maintained. The breakfast was good and we very much enjoyed our stay at the property.
