  The receptionists were not really great at information about the hotel offers for guests. We checked in and didn't get any information about the Christmas dining, kids' activities, etc. When I asked them about the Christmas reservation, they said it was fully booked. But this was not true. I asked directly at the restaurant and got a slot easily. The reception desk is not reachable from the room throughout my stay. I had to go down every time I needed some help or information, and that delayed my porter service during checkout. My airport driver had to wait 15 mins for my luggage to be brought from my room. When we checked in, there was no body lotion in the room, I requested it, but subsequent cleaning removed it again. They didn't have the facility to hold a deposit on my bank card(a visa card), and I couldn't charge things to my room account, which was a bit ridiculous. The payment systems had problems with non credit cards always. It needs several swipes, which was annoying. I expectEd better from an international hotel chain. The most friendly staff were the porters, the kids' club staff, and the Marina Bay info desk staff. The receptionist not so much, and I expected them to give guests tips on stay, e.g, the daily sea divers show, which i only found out on the instagram page.

  Location was great. The people I met were even greater. Free tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The beds were very comfortable.

  It was very poorly decorated, cement walls, Check in is quite late at 3pm. The lift broke down a couple of times and it was a dirty entrance but apart from that it is great location and nice to meet people.

  Good TV with BBC news. Clean bedding, lovely room. Spacious and clean.

  The room was cold—an awkward place to plug in a kettle. Restaurants nearby were not fabulous, were very expensive, and tasted weird; it was an industrial area out of the city. Bit disappointing. But the hotel was comfortable. I rang room service for a glass of red wine but they had run out, so I didn't get anything. Anything extra, like water, had to be paid for. The restaurant was cold and the menus were all in Chinese with no English translations. There is no bar, no English-speaking restaurant. The swimming pool was closed.
