It is very beautiful and cozy guest house! You can feel that they are very service minded: very friendly and sweet host, amazing common area where they offer coffee, tea, and fruit. Rooms have everything you need (including a mini fridge). We need an iron and ironing board and requested it in advance - it was there when we arrived. If you would like to buy some food and bring it in, they also offer plates and cutlery, and have microwave to heat it up. Very good location: it has cafe and restaurants nearby and it is easy to walk to the city center.

EVERYTHING about this property was wonderful: location, comfort, cleanliness, staff responsiveness and assistance, breakfast, quiet, and all those puzzles to make it a lovely and lively stay. Also, staff were patient and helpful with my attempts to speak Portuguese.

The Alva Valley Hotel sits on the confluence of Alvoco and Alva rivers, in the quaint Ponte das Três Entradas. It is 10 km from Oliveira do Hospital and 24 km from Piódão. Really friendly staff and clean, upscale accommodations. I love that they are dog friendly and were really welcoming to our dogs. We stayed in one of the rooms with the large balconies and that was very open and spacious. The breakfast is amazing. Lots of praia fluvials in that area and some really nice nature trails. Visit the local market next door for some treats or the campisimo across the street on the river.

The view from the balcony is superb and the room and interior of the property is outstanding. I will definitely be visiting again:)
