The property reached out to us beforehand to check on the needs of my kids and when I told them my daughter had a milk allergy, went out of their way to ensure that appropriate measures were taken to cater to her. We felt very welcome.

Excellent beds, very quiet area.
Biggest surprise for me was that at breakfast I got a letter in Dutch explaining the dishes!
Onsen were during my stay semi-private (meaning you were allowed to lock them during use) which I reckon is a plus for some people or families (personally I don't mind).
Food was excellent with a free tasting of Sake. In the common area there were free drinks (also beer).

There’s onsen and can see sunrise in our room. The staffs are very polite and helpful.
Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
Hotel was located above a shopping mall with nice shops and restaurants, room was clean and comfortable, open public onsen with fantastic views, staffs are friendly and helpful, six months ago we stayed at the same hotel when we visited Oita.
Only about a 15 minute walk from Oita station and downtown, this was a good little hotel. The room was small but good enough for one person and very comfortable. The staff on check-in were really friendly and helpful. The hotel also had an associated onsen down the road, however I wasn't able to make use of this during my stay.
