Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. Food was excellent, lots of seafood. Sea-view room was very comfortable.

Shokinkan is set in Yasugi, 27 km from Lake Shinji, 29 km from Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum, as well as 25 km from Mizuki Shigeru Museum. Great dinner service with lots of food. Vegetarian but was superb with alot of effort put into it. Breakfast was non-vegetarian and tasty. Service was good. As expected of a ryokan so don’t expect 5 star hotel quality but definitely comfortable and clean.

Located in Miyajima with Five Storey Pagoda and Itsukushima Shrine nearby, Kinsuikan provides accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. The traditional Japanese breakfast is a culinary experience but may not be suitable for everyone. It's 3 mins away from the Torii Gate and the Itsukushima Temple, and also from the dock. The rooms are tidy and clean.

Itsukushimahigashimonzen Kikugawa in Miyajima provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. This 2-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service. Basically everything : its location, renovation (it has been fully renovated 5 years ago apparently, materials are beautiful, minimalist yet you can feel subtitle taste), especially the garden and living-room area on the first floor, all the amenities are perfect and clean. You can feel traditional Japanese vibes with a fresh newly renovated atmosphere. It feels like a contemporary ryokan. My dad was able to enjoy for his first time a traditional Japanese breakfast and it was a great experience. The staff also advised us several restaurants options for dinner, and it was indeed very nice places as well. The same staff advised/helped us with a ferry route between Miyajima to Matsuyama.

Situated in Tottori, 48 km from Daijoji Temple, Kansuitei Kozeniya offers accommodation with a hot spring bath, a public bath and an open-air bath. The staff was really friendly and professional - and the private baths were awesome, 5/5 - if you're looking for a real traditional ryokan experience but also like still having AC and modern convenience, you'll find it here.

Oyado Tsukiusagi is set in Miyajima, 600 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, 800 metres from Itsukushima Shrine, as well as 1.3 km from Daisho-in Temple. The hotel was just minutes from the port. The host was extremely helpful. Good coffee and tea available and a small area with homemade craft items for sale. The room was spacious including a balcony-like alcove looking toward the sea. The name - moon rabbit - was very fitting.

Located in Miyajima, 400 metres from Five Storey Pagoda and 600 metres from Itsukushima Shrine, Itsumoya offers a garden and air conditioning. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the host was very kind and helpful.

Kurashiki Bikanin historiallisessa kaupunginosassa sijaitseva Ryori Ryokan Tsurugata tarjoaa japanilaistyylistä majoitusta historiallisessa rakennuksessa, joka on peräisin Edo-kaudelta. Erinomainen palvelu, henkilökunta teki kaikkensa vieraiden viihtymisen eteen ja oli sydämellisen ystävällistä.

Located right in front of Miyajima Aquarium and a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine's exit, Mizuhasou offers accommodations in a modern yet traditional décor. Very cozy and private hotel. The rooms are very basic but have its Japanese charm and we felt really comfortable. Beds are super comfortable.location is so nice ,directly in the park. Very relaxing and calm. Personnel is very friendly and you feel like home.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. Staying here was like entering another world. We were picked up by a very friendly and helpful driver who pointed out points of interest on the way up to the house on the hill. There we were greeted by a lovely lady who escorted us into the lobby were a friendly, young man checked us in. The lovely lady then escorted us up to our room and showed us were everything was, made us tea and made sure we had fitting yukatas to wear. The room was very spacious with an incredible view over to the iconic "floating" Tori gate. We spent our first our just sitting on the window sill with our tea taking in the breathtaking scenery. Dinner was an adventure of most excellent Japanese cuisine. The private onsen was lovely. It is a hop and a skip down some steps into the village and down to the sea and I recommend a walk at twilight and night to really enjoy the place before the daytripping crowds come in the morning. The staff were so nice and helpful and on the day of departure they offered us to leave our luggage with them while we went for a hike and when it was time to leave we could simply call them from the port and the driver brought it down from the hill in the little car. I would love to stay here again. Just perfect!
