Everything was organized and well-prepared, starting from check-in; extremely friendly and helpful staff and they speak English so well, which was a plus! The room was great and the bed/mattress was very comfortable. I liked how they integrated both traditional Japanese-style design and the modern technology in the building and the room too. Good that there was free parking was provided, right outside the entrance!

Luck You Kyoto offers accommodation in Kyoto. Free luggage storage is available. The rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV. I liked that everything felt new and well kept. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. The sleep in a futon is good, but it is not a that good combination with the floor heating, as it was getting too hot on the floor. Except that, everything felt amazing, I enjoyed my stay at this ryokan.

Located in the sacred Koyasan area, Saizenin offers simple accommodation surrounded by mountains and many temples. The stay was excellent! I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay in Kinosaki. Exceeded our expectations in relation to the price. Staff was incredibly welcoming.

A 1000 year-old Buddhist temple, Shukubo Koya-san Eko-in offers Japanese-style accommodation, a beautiful garden and free WiFi. The stay was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Ther room was traditional as were the meals - which were unique but incredible.

Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. The staff is super kind and helpful, the property is very pretty and everything is very typical. There are two onsens available for the guests (a male one and another for women) with very good conditions. We could opt from a japanese breakfast and a continental breakfast, so we chose the first one. Super complete and with a lot of dishes, if you haven’t tried and are ok with trying different food types, you definitely should go for the japanese breakfast. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

Great experience and a fantastic opportunity to participate in a morning prayer. Lovely people and the rooms looking out onto the garden was amazing.

Truly an experience I’ll never forget. The Monks are all so kind and welcoming. There ceremonies, the food, the history and culture. You feel part of the family and that feeling will stay forever. The entire experience from train to cable rail car, is all part of an experience that is priceless. Nearby sites and the town itself on Mt. Koya are unbelievable.
