Kotono yado Musashino offers accommodation in Nara, and is located a 11-minute drive from Nara Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line. This felt like less of a hotel stay and more of an experience as a whole. If you are exploring Nara I would recommend taking at least a day to just enjoy this hotel stay. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff who helped us with every little thing, from taking our luggage to ordering a taxi for our departure. We were served luxurious meals for dinner and breakfast in our room, by staff who set our table and made our bed. The location was magical with beautiful nature and deers roaming around outside. They had an amazing natural hot spring bath as well. Would warmly recommend this place.

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk. A very comfortable tatami-mat room with a deep full soak tub. The location in regards to Nara Park was fantastic and I had a wonderful view of Tōdai-ji in the mornings. Things were very quiet, the staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was everything it could be including walking me through all the amenities they had to offer. They also provided local area maps with all the main attractions and let me know how best to navigate what I wanted to do which helped quite a bit with planning how I spent my time.

The accommodation facility of Gyokuzoin Temple features a hot public bath. The hotel is located in Mount Shigisan and houses a souvenir shop and drinks vending machines. Staying here was a wonderful experience for our family, including 3 kids, ages 10, 15, 17. The location was magical and serene, the food delicious and unique. Wish we could have stayed longer to participate in more of the educational opportunities. Took a train, then a local bus as close as we could and then walked the last 3/4 mile, which worked out fine since we only had day packs on us, but you may want to plan your transportation ahead of time if this wouldn't work for you.

A 12-minute walk from the Kintetsu Nara Train Station, Hotel New Wakasa offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Overall wonderful ryokan. Very friendly and attentive staff. Delicious breakfast. Beautiful big rooms, tatami floors, great view, nice onsens and close to Nara park. Even got little gifts from the staff.

Tsukihitei is located in the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Beautiful location and excellent staff. Very helpful and welcoming.

Nastanitev Kanko Ryokan Yamato se nahaja v mestu Ikuma, 8,8 km od znamenitosti Iwafune Shrine, in ponuja brezplačen WiFi ter brezplačno zasebno parkirišče. Yamato may not be the closest to Osaka, but it is still pretty close to Ikoma station from where you can take the Kintetsu line into the city. The area around the ryokan is amazing, but warning - the stairs going up to it are only easy downwards :D Yamato itself is amazing, it has everything for the traditional ryokan experience - tatami, futon, onsen and yukata. The owner is super nice and she even asked her husband to help me with my big luggages, thank you so much! I would definitely come back here if I'm in the area!

Nastanitev 多武峰観光ホテル se nahaja v mestu Sakurai in ponuja brezplačen WiFi v celotni nastanitvi ter sobe s klimatsko napravo. I can’t say enough good things about this place. It is truly a traditional ryokan stay. Accommodation - The rooms are spacious, very clean, you get all the amenities you can imagine, it has an onsen and the food is delicious. Staff - The staff is beyond wonderful - we were greeted by name when we arrived and throughout the stay. And the staff actually put the effort to pronounce my name correctly (not the Japanese version of it). Not everyone speaks English but honestly it doesn’t even matter. I would like to say a big “Thank you” to Shimoda-sama who served us dinner for two nights. She is such a lovely lady and so was the rest of the staff working there from the receptionist to the door attendants who would run to the door when we would arrive. I also think we were the only people in the hotel for the first 2 nights. Food - The food was delicious and served in a private, big room. It wasn’t cheap though and we had to order it in advance (same day in the morning) because we didn’t pre-book it. There aren’t a lot of options to eat nearby either, being in a quite remote location. There is a restaurant at the temple across the road but it closes at 3 PM. Location - The location is a bit remote but it’s beautiful, in the woods and across the road from an ancient temple, maybe one of the most beautiful I’ve seen in Japan so far. There is a bus station next to the hotel but the buses don’t come very often - maybe once/hr? The hotel also offered us a free shuttle bus at certain times. I would recommend to take a walk/ hike to Asuka village from the hotel. We made a day trip out of it because it can take a few hrs but it was all worth it. We saw wild wisteria, walked through rice fields, empty hills filled with flowers and saw wild monkeys in the woods.

Nastanitev Kadojin se nahaja v mestu Tenkawa in ponuja vrt, skupni prostor za druženje ter teraso, na voljo pa je tudi brezplačen WiFi v celotni nastanitvi. The location was picturesque and overall incredibly pleasant to look around at. The property itself is very well maintained, truly delivers the classic ryokan experience, onsen are amazing and very enjoyable, the staff was wonderful and incredibly helpful. The food was something else - both the kaiseki dinner and the breakfast were delicious, filling and a great pleasure to partake in. Overall, would highly recommend, I had a blast staying at Kadojin.
