The location was great, close to a lot of pubs and take away. We wanted a nice quiet break and this was perfect. We both hadn't realised the breakfast was there straight away, it was delicious nevertheless.

Our stay at Stargazy Garden was nothing short of exceptional. The cabin was thoughtfully designed, combining comfort and convenience seamlessly. It was equipped with modern amenities, including an en-suite bathroom, impeccably clean bedding, and reliable complimentary Wi-Fi, ensuring a hassle-free and relaxing experience.
What truly made our visit unforgettable was the warm and welcoming hospitality from Lee and Sharon. Their genuine care and friendly conversations added a personal touch that made us feel right at home. The resident dogs, especially Maxy, were a delightful addition and he is so charming and affectionate, Maxy brought an extra dose of coziness and joy to our stay, especially the furry cuddles!
Stargazy Garden offers more than just a place to stay; it provides an inviting atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. We left feeling refreshed and cared for, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended!

If there was an option to give Abi a rating of a million stars, it still wouldn’t be enough! I can’t express how amazing this lady is! She helped this weary traveler at silly hours of the night after I arrived in the early hours. The property is quaint, modern, homely, warm, immaculate, comfortable, fully equipped - when I arrived, I felt like I was given the biggest hug when I walked in! I’ve even considered whether a magic spell is cast on those who pass the threshold of Shine Challet. I work all over the UK and have stayed in hotels that are proposed 5 star, well, if you compare them to the experience of staying at Shine, I can only allege those pretentious, soulless institutions must have bought their high ratings! I should have returned home after only 1 night, however I am led here, on the comfiest bed I have ever slept in, looking forward to another unplanned night in Shine! Abi, the host, may have to instruct Bailiffs to remove me in the morning!
The little touches Abi has made for her guests are just adorable, such as a little box of chocolates, fresh milk, and Christmas loo roll!!
As a smoker, I obviously need an outside area. I enjoyed sitting in the miniature courtyard absorbing the tranquility throughout the day!
Locality wise, it is a perfect combination of being in a remote location where you are surrounded by beautiful countryside where you have no choice but to relax, and close enough to amenities such as a supermarket, restaurants and pubs. I normally dine out when I work away however, this wasn’t even an option for me as I did not want to leave Shine, so after I finished work, I immediately returned to the Chalet with some food, a bottle of wine and a huge sense of contentment.
Self-catering accommodation gives you the freedom and privacy that’s needed to enjoy a well-earned break. From modern apartments and luxury villas to beach huts and eco-lodges, the options are seemingly endless. Cook in your kitchen, read in the garden, or chill on the sofa and watch TV – however you choose to spend time, you’ll feel right at home.
Excellent use of kitchen facilities and extra bedding was provided due to the two of us not being a couple and sharing the double bed.
Staff were friendly.
Surprisingly large but very private garden with lovely touches such as garden seating and hammock. Easy to use gas BBQ and excellent hot tub although would have appreciated some written instructions for use. Excellent instructions on how to find the site and nice facilities such as dressing gowns, towels and crocs, sharp kitchen knives and lovely shower gels
The main reason we went to romantic retreat, was for peace and quiet, and hot tub. We enjoyed this very much. the accommodation was really cosy, and the bed was really comfy.Bathroom and kitchen were clean. Some nice touches like breakfast on first morning , milk and butter in fridge.
It was exceptionally clean and tidy and very warm ready for our arrival (we arrived early and could go in which was great as we wanted to go for a walk before settling in).
Wi-Fi was really good and the tv allowed us to log into our own Netflix. The kitchen was very well kitted out and there was loads of coffee for the coffee machine.
My favourite thing was that there was a really good fan in the bedroom! I suffer from night sweats so this was a game changer and really made the stay for me!
The cottage was very cute with a really homely feel. Lots of character and little finishing touches .
All you need in the kitchen. Perfect location for us as we were visiting friends in Camborne. We travelled by car with easy access to the North and South coasts.
The apartment was nice. Especially the bedroom was really comfortable, with a nice big bed and TV. The kitchen was well equipped.
The place was a good base for exploring Cornwall.
