Located in Hinterstoder, 21 km from Großer Priel, TRIFORÊT alpin resort provides accommodation with a garden, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. A newly built hotel, very modern and thoughtfully designed. We rented a chalet—a small, two-story house equipped with a sauna, kitchen, artificial fireplace, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, and a huge spacious living room. The reception and staff, in general, were very friendly and helpful. We did encounter some issues with the drain spigot in the bathroom, but it was fixed quickly and with good humor. However, I would recommend replacing this type of spigot as its design is rather unusual, i would say even strange. The area around the hotel is a paradise for skiing enthusiasts. Words can’t do it justice—you really have to see it for yourself. The hotel is situated at an elevation of 1,400 meters, ensuring plenty of snow even when it’s raining in the valley. However, you’ll need chains to drive up there, as the road can be tricky with snow and ice. Breakfast was excellent, though it’s served in another building about a 5-minute walk away. The walk, however, is a pleasant one with breathtaking mountain views, so there’s no reason to complain. The restaurant staff could improve table management, as tables for 4–6 were sometimes occupied by just two guests—though they were likely enjoying the mountain views with their morning coffee. The InterSport shop on-site provides all the ski equipment you might need, with friendly staff and reasonable prices. We also tried the skiing school for our 8-year-old daughter. While I’m not sure if the group lessons were worth the cost, the private lesson made a significant difference. To sum up in a few words: this is truly a snow paradise!

Hotel Sonnfeld features a restaurant that serves local cuisine and hosts traditional live music. All rooms have a balcony with mountain views and free WiFi. The Hotel Sonnfeld of the Berger-Habe family, surrounded by mountains, situated in picturesque location, a 5-minute drive from Hinterstoder. A wonderful varied breakfast and dinner, comfortable clean rooms, cheerful hosts - Renate, Alias, Marina and Alex. Every morning a beautiful view from the balcony, and the silence of the mountains met us. The cable car Hinterstoder - Wurzeralm Bergbahnen is no more than a 10-15 minute drive from the village house. The ActivCard we received from the hotel owners allowed us to use the cable car every day for free. Not far from Hinterstoder is Lake Almsee (1 hour driving) with a beautiful mountain view around. You can walk around the lake in the forest on a sunny day, as we did, or rise above the lake and admire it from above. The concert of the owners of the house, arranged for the guests of the house, made the stay there simply unforgettable. We felt at home in the Sonnfeld Hotel. It was very sad to leave this place. Lehnerhof offers spa facilities and free private parking, and is within 28 km of Sonntagberg Basilica. The property features garden and inner courtyard views. Good property, maintained very well, nice location in terms of mountain valley view. Room is clean, good stop on our way to Salzburg.

Hotel Sperlhof has an outdoor swimming pool, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Windischgarsten. Great facilities, good variety food. Nice and kind staff. Great wellness options and panorama sauna(s). Very good surroundings.

Boasting a sauna, Villa Bischofsberg - Lärchen-Wellness Apartment is set in Windischgarsten. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Everything was just great. Apartment was clean and comfy. We really appreciated the breakfast delivered to the apartment 🙂! Owners were very helpful and kind people. Nice bonus were "active cards" thanks to which we had free entry to all chosen trips. We are already thinking about our next visit 🙂
