The terrace has a view to a public park with a fountain, a really chill place. There are places where to get beer just nearby, but they're not noisy in the evening. Most of the Bad Schandau points of interest are in a walkable distance - the elevator, the tram, the city center, the river, the rocks. We were with a small kid and we appreciated we could spend evenings in the living room while the kid was sleeping. The neighbors said hello when we saw them and there was an easygoing cat which lives around the building. Sometimes it peeked at us to our amusmement.

The property is very new, clean a tastefully furnished. Our room (very spacious) came with fully equipped kitchen, which was especially handy as we like to cook during vacations. Everything was as great as the photos look. You can se that there was a lot of thought and passion put into the design of the apartment, with some touches of humour. The shower room is huge and super clean. Beds comfy, large dining table, big tv if you need, second bathroom. We would stay there again. For cooking, the basics such as salt and cooking oil you will need to bring yourself, but just about everything else you think you might need, is there. Location wise, it is only a 5 min bus (line 260) from Bad Schandau, and you can easily start your hike to many directions from the apartment. And the apartment is on a busy road but you don't really hear the traffic.

This historic hotel is situated in the town centre of Bad Schandau, along the River Elbe promenade, surrounded by the beautiful hiking terrain of the Saxon Switzerland National Park. The accommodations were lovely and the staff was very kind

Located in Dohma, Landhotel Heidekrug features free access to the indoor pool, sauna and fitness centre. We had a nice family room, comfortable beds. Very helpful staff. We had a nice stay, enjoyed onsite restaurant
