The only downside I could think of is that it doesn’t have a balcony, but you are in the middle of town so it is a great area to get out anyway.

Staff was kind and so helpful in making reservations and suggestions on things to do. The room was great - but if you go, request a city view room! Located in the heart of the Beaujolais, Château de Bagnols is an historical monument with over eight centuries of history, as well as a prestigious hotel-restaurant. Gorgeous setting. Room was wonderful for 3 with upstairs and private terrace. Chateau is well maintained. Grounds including pool and garden and beautiful. 1217 restaurant was exceptional.
