Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa is set in a 17th-century building, and has a leisure club with a swimming pool, sauna, spa bath and steam room. There is also a fitness centre and beauty spa. Impeccable staff - the Spanish lady in the reception especially was amazing! Breakfast selection was nice and fresh! Location was close to everything, a Tesco right in front, bike rental shop, cute little stores, etc. Quaint rooms - lovely view of the town! Facilities - the outdoor hot tub was great!

The hotel has some of the best on-site facilities in the area, half of the rooms with hot tubs on private balconies, an on-site spa with poolside seating and a bar, stylish restaurant and cocktail bar, bike hire, wakesurfing and paddleboading. 10 out of 10. The whole experience was fantastic especially since it was our Honeymoon we couldn't have asked for a better stay. I mentioned when booking for a jug of dairy free milk, which we received in the room but also in a fridge which from my understanding not all rooms come with, again this was going above the call of duty. The room was amazing and cleaned to perfection. We ordered room service which again was second to none and when we dined at the on site restaurant again absolutely fantastic. We've already suggested that we will be coming back next year for our first anniversary.

The on-site spa offers a poolside seating and bar, two hot tubs, a sauna, steam room and plunge pool. Within the spa is a pub serving real ale and bar meals. There is also a restaurant and free fibre-optic broadband. Robes were provided and the pool was well maintained, breakfast was good value for money, staff were very helpful as well

Boasting a heated pool and mountain views, Howgill is located in Windermere. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The wellness area includes a sauna, a hot tub, a fitness centre and a solarium. Very comfortable flat with all the comforts of home. John was great - he provided us with most of the info we needed when we got there, and was responsive to questions. The place is close to everything in Windermere, including the bus that goes to the other towns. I would stay here again any time.

Rooms all feature a large widescreen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player, and a king-size bed and luxury bathroom. Some luxury suites have outdoor hot tubs and seating areas. Fantastic attention from all staff. Nothing was too much trouble and really made the stay.

Breakfast is complimentary and offered in traditional full English breakfast with fish options. Vegetarian and Vegan alternatives are also offered. From start to finish we were made feel welcome, even from little Zoe after a few seconds of being shy🤣 we had a room upgrade and couldn’t fault it one bit. We stayed in room 7, it was the perfect size for two people (had bunk beds for kids if required). The spa facilities are a nice touch and are great after a long walk in the snow, although a drive away from the lodge, it makes no difference if you are already out and about. I’ve already recommended the stay to several people so I would highly recommend & will most likely see you again soon!😃

The 5-star Beaumont House is a Victorian property featuring many original features with a tranquil location, just metres from the heart of Windermere. It offers delicious cooked breakfasts, free Wi-Fi and free private parking, less than 10 minutes' walk away from Windermere Railway Station. The house was situated in a quiet residential neighborhood close to the town center! It was tastefully decorated and furnished . The bedroom was comfortably furnished and equipped with all necessary for a good night’s rest

The breakfast was excellent lots of gluten free options. Rich the host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Lake District . He always had time for you to chat about the best restaurants etc .Very enjoyable stay definitely stay again. Rooms very comfortable clean . The place is situated in a perfect spot right in the middle of Windermere.
