With a picturesque location in Ambleside, Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa World Hotel Distinctive, BW Premier Collection features a modern spa and a brasserie. Impeccable staff - the Spanish lady in the reception especially was amazing! Breakfast selection was nice and fresh! Location was close to everything, a Tesco right in front, bike rental shop, cute little stores, etc. Quaint rooms - lovely view of the town! Facilities - the outdoor hot tub was great!

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making... 10 out of 10. The whole experience was fantastic especially since it was our Honeymoon we couldn't have asked for a better stay. I mentioned when booking for a jug of dairy free milk, which we received in the room but also in a fridge which from my understanding not all rooms come with, again this was going above the call of duty. The room was amazing and cleaned to perfection. We ordered room service which again was second to none and when we dined at the on site restaurant again absolutely fantastic. We've already suggested that we will be coming back next year for our first anniversary.

Lakes Apartments are situated in the grounds of the 5-star Lakes Hotel and Spa, near Lake Windermere in the village of Bowness-on-Windermere. Robes were provided and the pool was well maintained, breakfast was good value for money, staff were very helpful as well

John was great - he provided us with most of the info we needed when we got there, and was responsive to questions. The place is close to everything in Windermere, including the bus that goes to the other towns. I would stay here again any time.

Just a mile from Lake Windermere in the heart of the Lake District, this luxury boutique hotel offers home-cooked food and free Wi-Fi. Fantastic attention from all staff. Nothing was too much trouble and really made the stay.

Dating back to 1854, the award-winning Holly Lodge Guest House with FREE off site health club is quietly situated in the center of Windermere. From start to finish we were made feel welcome, even from little Zoe after a few seconds of being shy🤣 we had a room upgrade and couldn’t fault it one bit. We stayed in room 7, it was the perfect size for two people (had bunk beds for kids if required). The spa facilities are a nice touch and are great after a long walk in the snow, although a drive away from the lodge, it makes no difference if you are already out and about. I’ve already recommended the stay to several people so I would highly recommend & will most likely see you again soon!😃

The 5-star Beaumont House is a Victorian property featuring many original features with a tranquil location, just metres from the heart of Windermere. The house was situated in a quiet residential neighborhood close to the town center! It was tastefully decorated and furnished . The bedroom was comfortably furnished and equipped with all necessary for a good night’s rest

St John's Lodge is an award-winning guest house situated between Windermere village and the Lake at Bowness Bay. The breakfast was excellent lots of gluten free options. Rich the host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Lake District . He always had time for you to chat about the best restaurants etc .Very enjoyable stay definitely stay again. Rooms very comfortable clean . The place is situated in a perfect spot right in the middle of Windermere.
