The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Beautifully decorated. The hotel had recently been updated and it was very nicely done. Extremely helpful staff members;

With a picturesque location in Ambleside, Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa World Hotel Distinctive, BW Premier Collection features a modern spa and a brasserie. Impeccable staff - the Spanish lady in the reception especially was amazing! Breakfast selection was nice and fresh! Location was close to everything, a Tesco right in front, bike rental shop, cute little stores, etc. Quaint rooms - lovely view of the town! Facilities - the outdoor hot tub was great!

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making... 10 out of 10. The whole experience was fantastic especially since it was our Honeymoon we couldn't have asked for a better stay. I mentioned when booking for a jug of dairy free milk, which we received in the room but also in a fridge which from my understanding not all rooms come with, again this was going above the call of duty. The room was amazing and cleaned to perfection. We ordered room service which again was second to none and when we dined at the on site restaurant again absolutely fantastic. We've already suggested that we will be coming back next year for our first anniversary.

Lakes Apartments are situated in the grounds of the 5-star Lakes Hotel and Spa, near Lake Windermere in the village of Bowness-on-Windermere. Spa was amazing. The apartment was so comfy and had everything we needed. The staff were so friendly and a mince pie and mulled wine was really welcoming.

The house is really big and it has everything you may possibly need for your stay. The place was also clean and close to many shops, restaurants, and other fabulous villages! We are a couple with four small children and we definitely felt at home!

Dating back to 1854, the award-winning Holly Lodge Guest House with FREE off site health club is quietly situated in the center of Windermere. From start to finish we were made feel welcome, even from little Zoe after a few seconds of being shy🤣 we had a room upgrade and couldn’t fault it one bit. We stayed in room 7, it was the perfect size for two people (had bunk beds for kids if required). The spa facilities are a nice touch and are great after a long walk in the snow, although a drive away from the lodge, it makes no difference if you are already out and about. I’ve already recommended the stay to several people so I would highly recommend & will most likely see you again soon!😃

The 5-star Beaumont House is a Victorian property featuring many original features with a tranquil location, just metres from the heart of Windermere. Amazing environment and rooms. Kind host and friendly service! nice for the family trip.

Superb location (walkable distance to the main attractions), Car Parking, bus stop right across, Home like comfort, Very clean rooms, Excellent breakfast, very friendly host with good knowledge of the area.
