Super Hotel Yahaba Station East Exit está ubicado en Yahaba, a 11 km de House of Morioka Town y a 12 km de Morioka Castle Ruins. This was by far the best hotel in which I have stayed in my multiple trips to Iwate. Amazing customer service, overall cleanliness and amenities. The lobby workers were incredibly helpful and gave us all the information that we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the multiple options for pillows were a nice addition. Thank you so much!

Amazing breakfast and dinner - we were never hungry! There was even an option to have a late-night meal from 9 to 10 pm. The reception was very friendly and even with limited English, they went out of their way to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. There was a shuttle bus to and from Appi Kogen ski resort and the train station. However, these need to be booked beforehand.

Hotel Route Inn Ofunato está ubicado en Ōfunato, a 44 km de Estadio Kamaishi Recovery Memorial y a 18 km de Osabe-minato. The friendly staff were very patient with my clumsy Japanese. It was a special bonus to find an onsen style bathhouse on site. It was a really good one. The hotel is well situated near some large shops and lots of places to eat. My favourite was a barbecue at your table place. I had good beef plus a salad twice. Very tasty. It is near the Kanow, this restaurant. It was well located near the BRT station and the very helpful information office. Ofunato station. This location provided an excellent gateway to the beautiful Goishi Coast.  Without a car, there is a a local bus that takes only 30 minutes. But the last bus back to the hotel is at 2 pm. Take your walking shoes with you. All the trails are good, and there is also a coastal Trail to the famous Anotoshi iso rock formation. At Goishi beach you can have a seafood bowl while looking out the ocean.
