Kohima: Nagaland's Minister for PHED and Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi inaugurated the new Directorate Building of the Registrar Cooperative Societies office in Meriema, Kohima. on Wednesday.
He praised the magnificent building and urged central department officials in Delhi to move the state department forward in areas where progress is lacking. He also appealed to government officials and invitees to take a keen interest in entrepreneurship for local productions and expand horizons with Agri. and Allied Departments for product storage in the state.
He said, "The government department is working on scrutinizing all registered societies, whether they are functional with Nagaland State Cooperative Bank and other private banks for progressive aspects."
Zhimomi informed that discussions are on to give opportunities to educated Nagas in the state and encourage them to work hard and dedicate their resources to developing resources instead of relying on government jobs. He requested the Department to judiciously utilize the newly inaugurated building for the service of the people of the state.
