• Genesis will stage three debuts at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.
  • The brand didn’t go into specifics, but said there will be global, European and UK debuts.
  • It doesn’t appear the company will showcase anything all-new.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is less than two months away and it’s already shaping up to be packed with debuts. Genesis will have three, which will include global, European and UK introductions.

The company is keeping details under wraps, but it seems like the global debut won’t be as exciting as it sounds. Instead of introducing an all-new model or concept, Genesis confirmed a “concept will make its dynamic global debut on the famous Goodwood hillclimb.”

There’s no word on which one, but the company has introduced an assortment of concepts in the past few months. If we were to guess, a Magma concept would be a strong candidate.

The company has introduced GV60 and G80 variants and they mark the “brand’s expansion into the realm of high-performance vehicles.” Genesis has previously said they intend to offer a Magma variant for “each production vehicle in the existing lineup.”

The other debuts are also a mystery, but Genesis said one is an “exclusive car that will be seen in action for the first time in the UK.” The third and final model will be on display for the first time in Europe.

That’s not much to go on, but Genesis is in the midst of a product refresh that has seen them introduce a facelifted G70, GV70, GV80, G80, and an all-new GV80 Coupe. If that wasn’t enough new blood, the brand is also working on a facelifted GV60.

Besides announcing three debuts, Genesis revealed they’ll have a new stand opposite of the First Glance paddock. The company described it as a “bespoke space” that will “offer the public an opportunity to see a variety of cars and indulge in the brand’s renowned ‘Son-Nim’ hospitality in an immersive environment.” Genesis UK’s Brand Director, Jonny Miller, also hinted at “plenty of surprises in store for Goodwood visitors.”
