I was told by Marc MacDonald,
Welland's Chief Communications & Engagement Officer, that the flag is a
"city-branded" flag flown at city facilities. It has not replaced the coat of
arms flag as the city's official flag.
The new branding logo was adopted
by Welland in March 2023.
