Blue symbolizes the French origins of Clermont, and peace (Clermont, peaceful village).
Gold symbolizes material wealth. Clermont in 1954 was the most prosperous and dynamic municipality of Charlevoix. Gold also underlines spiritual wealth, the Catholic religion takes up all the space at the heart of believers.
