Hawangen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Or two palm fronds Sable in saltire, beneath Sable a mitre Or with scarves and charged with a rosette.
Meaning:
Hawangen belonged to the Benedictine Ottobeuren Imperial Abbey from 764 until 1803. Tinctures, mitre and rosette are allduding to these close relationships. The palm fronds here are an attribute of St. Stephen, the local patron saint.
