Eibelstadt Coat of Arms

Shield or, a demi-lion issuant Sable, holding a vine plant Vert with a grapevine Azure by his forepaws.
Meaning:
Eibelstadt had been an imperial fiefdom and belonged to the Bishopric of Würzburg since 1096 and had been a condominion of the provost and the chapter of the cathedral. Emperor Sigismund granted city rights in 1434. The lion is referring to the Bohemian lion, as the emperor came from Bohemia. The tinctures and details of the lion changed various times. The grapevine is representing viticulture.

The arms were granted on 3 July 1434 by Emperor Sigismund. The current version and the banner were approved on 7 August 1987.
