Located in Kofu City Yamanashi Prefecture and established in 2005.
The embroidered ceremonial flag has purplish blue background with a silver emblem and horizontally written in silver kanji university name. The flag overall has gold fringe.
The university flag has white background with a blue emblem in the center.
The emblem is composed of "Y" for Yamanashi, "U" for University, and kanji letter "山" Yama. The three lines extending into the future represent the three faculties of International Policy, Human Welfare, and Nursing, and the hills at the top represent the overlapping mountains of Yamanashi. It represents the philosophy and purpose of the university, which is to interact with people on a global scale, while working in the local community close to home and taking a broad view of the world.
