It's difficult to tell from this photo (the furthest flag back), but I'm
reasonably sure that the official flag is this logo on white.

The presumptive official college flag bears the full color logo on a white
field. The logo shows the interconnected black capital letters "NDSCS," with the
center of the "D" taking the form of a white six-pointed star. Below the "NDSCS"
is a red box bearing the motto "THE SCIENCE OF SUCCESS." in white letters. And
below the red box, in small, black letters is the school's name: "North Dakota
State College of Science."

This flag likely
represent's the college's athletic teams, the Wildcats. The design shows the
school's wildcat head logo on a red field. The one-third of the flag closest to
the hoist is black, bearing the school acronym logo in red capital letters.

Very similar to the first flag,
but with the acronym in red, without the full name of the school in the logo,
and all centered on a dark grey field instead of white.

The field is most likely black, not dark gray - the latter color is not
included in the official color set, as presented in the branding guide provided
by Dave. Actually, in the image provided by Paul, two red areas are in different
shades, the bottom one being visibly lighter, which is certainly an error, so it
is reasonable to assume that the field was also made lighter by error.
Consequently, the field should better be repainted into black to make a more
accurate image.
