The Beach Haven Yacht Club was shown in Lloyd's until 1917, but is not
pictured any more after the war.*
The book Long Beach Island, by George C.
Hartnett and Kevin Hughes, describes the club as having been in its heyday in
the 1920s and 1930s. It shows a post card that identifies itself as Beach Haven
Yacht Club and Dock and which the book dates as "from the 1930s", where in the
background the flag can still be seen flying. Even today some unlinked entries
for the Beach Haven Yacht Club can be found on the internet, but I don't know
whether that means the club still exists in some way.
Currently, there is
a Beach Haven Yacht Club Marina flying the same flag. I don't know whether
that's historically connected or whether they found a burgee on the beach,
though.

*Not quite correct, as it is in fact pictured in 1963 - 1974, Not in 1961 or
earlier, though. This gives the impression the club is less active at times and
more active on others.
