Note: The Port Canaveral Yacht Club
(PCYC) was founded in 1978 and was originally known as the Cocoa Beach Yacht
Club (CBYC). The CBYC was located near the current day Cocoa Beach Country Club
and the members sailed on the Banana River. In 1982, the CBYC moved to its
current location at the Cape inside Port Canaveral.

BYLAWS OF THE PORT CANAVERAL YACHT CLUB, INC.
REVISED September 28, 2012
ARTICLE I GENERAL
Section 5. Club Burgee
The burgee of PCYC shall be a
pennant with a blue sloop having three blue satellites (orbs) and their orbits
about its mast. Two orbits will have their planes 30 degrees on either side of
the vertical center of the mast. The letters PCYC in blue will be placed to the
right of the sloop. A blue hem will be on the upper and lower fly. All of this
on a white field. The dimension of the hoist will be two inches for every three
inches of fly.

The by-law has it that the burgee is white and blue only, and an actual
specimen matches that. It also describes the blue hem as being on the fly edges
only; here an actual specimen differs in that it has blue along the hoist as
well.
