The Angelica Yacht Club (AYC), located in Mattapoisett, was founded in 1935 by Robert A.
Warren, John Glennon, Fayette Taylor, Albert Norlander and Dr. Horan.
The burgee of the AYC is white with a red triangle and a blue triangle placed along the hoist. "When the yacht club was being formed, a gentleman from Lloyds of London happened to be around and knew that the Motorboat Club of America was
going bankrupt. Their flag would be available thus AYC adopted that flag."
