Clelia Ditano, 25, died in the early hours of this morning in her apartment building in Fasano, in the province of Brindisi, southern Italy. She fell into the void and landed on the roof of the elevator, which had stopped on the first floor, local media reports. She died on impact, according to firefighters who recovered her body. Footage shows two men and two women, who are reportedly Chinese, as they clash on the viewing platform next to the Everest Elevation Measurement Monument on June 25. The men can be seen rolling around on the floor as they punch each other, while the woman in a light blue coat is trying pull one of the men away. Meanwhile the second woman, wearing a black coat, joins in and kicks one of the grappling men repeatedly. An officer from the Everest border police noticed the commotion and managed to separate the fighting men. It is unclear whether any of the tourists involved in the brawl were injured.

Pictures showed an intimidating executor, or 'algojo', gripping a rattan before carrying out the public caning against four men in front of Islamic court officials in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. A woman has revealed how she can make up to £75 an hour just by hugging strangers. Professional cuddler Anikó Rose, who is based in Manchester, appeared on This Morning earlier today to discuss her unusual job. According to Anikó, 42, she has been working as a professional cuddler for three years. Speaking to This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley , she claimed the service can help people who are struggling with issues like trauma, stress, anxiety, and other mental health problems. The next time you crack open a bottle of wine, it could be worth raising a glass to the dinosaurs. That's because their extinction, caused by an enormous asteroid, paved the way for the spread of grapes, a new study suggests. Without dinosaurs to trample on trees, vine plants such as grapes flourished, report scientists at the Field Museum in Chicago. They have discovered fossil grape seeds (pictured) that date back to between 60 and 19 million years ago in Colombia, Panama and Peru. These fossil seeds help show how the grape family spread in the years following the death of the dinosaurs.
