Jenelle Evans is speaking out after her husband was accused of child abuse.
The Teen Mom star issued a statement on Oct. 24, about an hour after TMZ reported that her husband David Eason was charged with a child abuse misdemeanor involving her 14-year-old son Jace.
"You would think police wouldn't make a one sided police investigation," Jenelle wrote on her Instagram Story. "They didn't conduct interviews, didn't ask any information from the parents. This seems like a very bias [sic] situation like everytime before."
The 31-year-old continued, "I trusted that detective with all my heart.. forgot you can't trust cops… silly me."
Jenelle said the police are subjecting David to a "smear campaign," alleging they gave details to the media about a minor "and gave no f--ks."
"Let's go to court. I've been waiting on our day," the reality TV star wrote. "I feel so violated by the system. Wait until the day you hear the truth. You will be begging me not to sue you."
In light of the charge, Jenelle also said she will be keeping out of the public eye for some time. "I do not trust anyone around me," she added. "Going MIA for a while."
E! News has reached out to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, as well as to Jenelle and David's rep for comment but hasn't heard back.
According to TMZ, the investigation was opened after Jace—who Jenelle shares with ex Andrew Lewis—ran away from her North Carolina home two months ago.
On Aug. 15, Jenelle's manager August Keen confirmed to E! News that the teen had been reunited with his mom after running away earlier in the day.
"Jace has been found, and is safely at home with Jenelle and his family," the rep said in a statement. "Thank you to the Brunswick Co. Sheriff's Department and to everyone else for their concerns."
Jenelle shared the reason Jace left in a statement to E! News.
"As a boy mom, kids can act up and rebel as I'm sure the majority of us all once did as kids too," she said at the time. "Jace got in trouble at school, we decided to take his phone away and that's when he decided to run off. Jace is a good kid, and we're not dealing with anything that most families don't deal with while raising children."
She also clarified that the incident had "nothing to do" with her relationship with David—who she married in 2017.
"We do not argue in front of our children or fight in front of our kids," Jenelle continued. "This is a teenage boy being a teenager mad that we decided to take his phone away."
Less than two weeks later, Jace ran away once again, leading Jenelle to report him missing, her manager told E! on Aug. 29.
The 14-year-old had been "out roaming the property," exploring the forest and lakes nearby, when he went to a local gas station without telling Jenelle, according to the rep.
"After a couple hours Jenelle got worried and called the police," the rep said, noting he was found five hours later. "The family is fine. Nothing to be alarmed about, Jace is a teenager finding his independence, wanting a bit more freedom, and Jenelle is a momma bear."
Jenelle recently regained custody of Jace from her mom Barbara Evans, sharing on TikTok in March, "Thanks everyone for the support! Words can't describe how happy I truly am. Our family is complete now! Thank you mom."
The influencer also shares 6-year-old daughter Ensley with David and 9-year-old son Kaiser with ex Nathan Griffith.
