The Duggar family is growing again.
Jason Duggar, the 12th eldest of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar's 19 children, is engaged to girlfriend Maddie Grace.
The Counting On star proposed to his fiancée on a beach, where a red rose and candle display bearing the words "Will you marry me?" was set up on the sand. In the middle of the installation, the 24-year-old got down on one knee and presented Maddie with a ring.
"On 8/24, Jase asked me to marry him," she wrote on Instagram Aug. 30 in a post also shared on Jason's page, "and I could not be more excited!!"
The bride-to-be, who has already taken on the last name Duggar on her social media profile, included the hashtag #spring2025 in the post.
The couple's engagement shoot photographer, Kayla Johnson, shared more pics from the proposal on her own page.
"Congratulations to Jason & Maddie!" she wrote. "These two seriously have the sweetest relationship I’ve ever seen."
Kayla continued, "Jase is the most intentional, kind human and Maddie matches that energy perfectly. She truly is the most beautiful ball of light in any room. I couldn’t imagine a cuter duo, and I cannot wait to see them officially become one!! What a joy it is to watch God do something beautiful between two people."
The couple received a slew of well-wishes in response to the couple's engagement announcement. Jason's cousin Amy Duggar King wrote on the comments, "Congratulations Jason!"
Jason had made his relationship with Maddie Instagram official in late May, sharing pics of the two embracing and walking on the beach. At the time, the 19 Kids and Counting alum did not identify her by name.
Jason is one of the last of the adult-age Duggar children to get engaged. His proposal to Maddie took place nine days after they both attended his sister Jana Duggar's wedding to Stephen Wissmann in the Duggar family's native Arkansas.
