Hyundai Motor India has announced that its flagship electric SUV, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, has successfully achieved a Guinness World Records title for the greatest altitude change by an electric car. The record was set after the Ioniq 5 travelled from Umling La, the highest driving point in India, located at 5,799m (19,024 ft) above sea level in Leh Ladakh, to Kuttanad in Kerala, which is 3m below sea level. The electric vehicle accomplished an altitude change of 5,802m during this journey.
Navigating through the challenging terrains and extreme climatic conditions, the feat was completed in 14 days, covering a distance of 4,900 km.
