L&T Interview Experience

Larsen & Turbo is one of the largest companies in India’s private Sector. It expands its business across Technology, Construction, Manufacturing and Engineering . So L&T visited our college (Government Engineering College Bilaspur Cg) during August-September 2022.

Round-0:

So the very first round was when they shortlisted candidates based on the HSC percentage. We were asked to register on their portal and were given 2-3 days to fill certain details like Academic details and Personal details. Only those who had their hsc percentage above 65% were shortlisted for the next round.

Round-1:

Those who were shortlisted based on their 12th standard marks received an email regarding the Schedule of Online Assessment. The Online Assessment comprises MCQ questions from:

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Logical and Verbal reasoning
  • Communication
  • Subject Specific questions ( for Computer science: DBMS, digital logic, Operating Systems, computer networks, pseudo-code).

It had sectional cutoff so we have to attempt all of them wisely.

Candidates shortlisted from this round were further qualified for the next round.

Round-2:

It was Technical Interview. It started with Please Introduce Yourself, followed by some general questions like what are your hobbies , how many members are there in your family and some other general questions which were easily answerable.

Next, they questioned deeply about the stuff mentioned in the resume. Since my Consisted of Java and related skills, they asked me the following set of questions:

  • What is JIT Compiler?
  • Do you know JDK and JRE?
  • What is Encapsulation?
  • What is a Daemon thread?
  • How will you achieve Abstraction?
  • Which is the Super Class of all the Classes?

and many more.

Also, there was an Extempore, here we were given a topic to speak about and express our views. Example: Does an increase in technology increase the jobs or decrease the jobs?

Round-3:

This is the final round which is the HR Interview. Here the following questions were put up:

  • Introduce yourself
  • How much will you rate yourself?
  • Name one leadership quality that you possess.
  • Why do you want to join L&T?
  • Are you willing to relocate?

After a week or two they will provide the confirmation of your selection via Gmail.
