IIIT Vadodara Campus Experience

It was my first sports event at IIIT Vadodara, and everyone was really excited. The sports committee had planned everything perfectly for a day full of fun and games. We were at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) complex, where there were tons of sports like running, cricket, badminton, table tennis, and football.

I wanted to join in the spirit, so I signed up for races like the 100-meter sprint and the relay, as well as events like long jump and discus throw. Even though I just wanted to have fun, I was surprised when I won the 100-meter race with all my speed and determination. That win motivated me, and I ended up winning the long jump too. I also did well in the relay and discus throw events.

My friends cheered me on, which made everything even more fun. We had a great time laughing and supporting each other. I also enjoyed watching my friends compete and cheered them on too.

Recognition and Celebration

On Independence Day, I got two gold medals for my performance by faculties. It felt amazing to be recognized for my hard work and dedication to sports.

Taking part in this sports event was so exciting and made my college experience even better. It wasn't just about winning; it was also about being part of a team, having fun, and learning important lessons. I'm grateful for the friendships I made and the memories I'll always cherish from that day.

IIIT Vadodara, located in Gujarat, is a hub of academic excellence offering a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs in various engineering disciplines. Students can pursue Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Master of Technology (MTech), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs, fostering comprehensive growth and specialization in their chosen fields of study.

Environment

Despite lacking a permanent campus, IIIT Vadodara currently operates from a temporary location within GEC, Gandhinagar. This setup presents challenges such as daily hour-long commutes from the hostel to the institute. However, there's optimism on the horizon, with plans underway to complete a permanent campus in Vadodara by 2025.

Student Life and Support

The supportive faculty and staff create a positive environment conducive to learning and growth. The spirit of ambition is palpable among students, fostering a competitive yet collaborative atmosphere where everyone is driven to achieve their goals. Events like sports fests, technical fests, cultural events, and hackathons enrich the student experience, making college life vibrant and memorable.

My advice for all the college students is that just participate in every fest and event of your college life because this will make your college life more fun and memorable.
