NetCDF4 files with gridded estimates of burned area and emissions can be downloaded here. There are three directories, one with summary tables (see below) and two with gridded data:
- The files in the monthly directory contain monthly files with burned area and carbon emissions, including the partitioning in several fire classes, as well as monthly trace gas and aerosol emissions. These files only contain rudimentary information about burned area, users requiring more detailed information are referred to the burned area files in the Zenodo repository
- The files in the daily directory contain daily estimates of emissions of trace gases and aerosols.
Trace gas and aerosol specied include carbon (C), dry matter (DM), CO2, CO, CH4, NMOC, H2, NOx (as NO), N2O, PM2.5, TPC, OC, BC, SO2, NH3, C2H6, CH3OH, C2H5OH, C3H8, C2H2, C2H4, C3H6, C5H8, C10H16, C7H8, C6H6, C8H10, Toluene lump, Higher alkenes, Higher alkanes, CH2O, C2H4O, C3H6O, C2H6S, HCN, HCOOH, CH3COOH, MEK, CH3COCHO, HOCH2CHO. Other species can be computed on request.
Tables
Summary tables for global and regional emission estimates for the 2002-2020 period are available here. The regional estimates are based on 14 basis regions shown below, with the abbreviations used in the tables.
